Frédéric joined Alfar Capital in January 2021 and has built his career as a direct investor in private businesses. He has led and co-led transactions from first contact through closing, covering the sourcing and qualification of opportunities, diligence, valuation and structuring work, and the negotiation of the terms that get a deal done. His involvement does not end at close. He stays with the businesses he helps acquire, working alongside management on growth initiatives, reporting discipline and add-on acquisitions.
He is frequently the first person a business owner speaks with at Alfar, and he approaches those conversations the way the firm does, as the beginning of a partnership rather than a process. Frédéric holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from ESG UQAM and began his career at Chubb Insurance, assessing transactional risk and directors’ and officers’ liability exposure.
